Alison Siener Brown, daughter of Bill and Estelle Siener, sang in the Girls’ Choir from 1990-1993. (Her Dad and two younger brothers also sang in The Choir of Men and Boys). Alison’s extensive education and training includes: graduating from the Buffalo Academy of Vocal and Performing Arts School in 1993, receiving her BM in Sacred Music from Westminster Choir College and studying organ with Mark Anderson. She went on to Northwestern University where she earned her Masters of Music in Organ Performance and Sacred Music while studying organ with Doug Cleveland, and was an Organ Scholar at Northwestern’s Alice Miller Chapel and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Evanston, Illinois.
Alison is currently the Organist and Director of Children’s Music at the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs, Illinois, and a private piano teacher. Alison has taken teacher’s training to become a Musikgarten teacher, which teaches music and movement classes for children aged 1-9. She hopes to open a Musikgarten studio in the near future. Alison is married to the Rev. Tom Brown and they are busy raising their two boys Zachary (6) and Nathan (3).
