BEN TOTH, son of Susan Yox, sang from 1985-1991 under the direction of Bruce Neswick and Dale Adelmann. Upon graduation from high school, he went on to Eastman School of Music and graduated from Brown University. He has become an accomplished musical director working with some of the most popular actors/singers currently working on the stage, including Lea Michele, Jane Monheit, and Mandy Patinkin, with whom he performed in London’s West End. On the West Coast he recently served as musical director for “Post Office” at the Kirk Douglas Theatre and “I Do I Do ” at the Old Globe Theatre.
Ben is developing a musical with and for Mandy Patinkin, centering on New York’s controversial master-builder Robert Moses. He is a film and theatre composer and producer as well. He is currently composing the score for “Patrimony”, a short film starring Oscar-nominee Robert Vaughn and Tony-nominee Melissa Errico. Ben just finished writing the score for the full-length feature “One Fall”, produced by the award-winner Dean Silvers. In 2009 Ben contributed music to the independent film, “You”, starring Melora Hardin and Brenda Strong. Ben recently completed a new album for Melora Hardin (“The Office”) working as co-producer which had its national release in February 2010.
