Kristi O’Hara (Gene O’Hara’s daughter), sang with the Girls’ Choir from 1985-1995. She graduated from City Honors and earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Rochester in 1999. Kristi then moved to Washington, DC, where she worked as an RN, married her husband, Dave Filmore, and earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Georgetown University. In 2008 she and her husband moved back to Rochester, NY where Kristi worked as a cardiology nurse practitioner at Strong Memorial Hospital until just recently; she currently works in the Nursing Education department. She and her husband have a 20-month-old daughter, Kara, and Samuel Jacob was born on September 28, 2010.
Kristi remembers all of the choir trips as an opportunity to go somewhere that she had never been, and fostered friendships that she still treasures today.
