Kristin Saetveit sang in the Girls’ Choir from 1996-2006 (age 8-18). After graduating from Buffalo Seminary she went on to Yale University and just graduated in May 2010. Kristin majored in History with a minor in Latin American Studies and studied abroad in Norway at the University of Oslo and in Guatemala at the Center for Mesoamerican Research. She just started a year of Americorps in Chicago where she is working as a paralegal for the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. She helps low-income individual’s access legal services and public benefits. She is presently applying for law school and hopes to go into public interest law.
Kristin always remembers the UK tours that the Girls did every four years. They helped show her how exciting traveling can be. “The choir tours, and especially the international ones, were great experiences for the young choristers because they exposed us to new places and traditions. I still love traveling and always try to visit the cathedrals in whatever town I’m in!”
