Stephanie Wolter sang in the Girls’ Choir from 1993-2003. She graduated from The Park School and earned her BA in History and Hispanic Studies from Hamilton College.
After graduation, Stephanie spent two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer in Utica, NY. She is now in her second year at Columbia Law School in New York City. Stephanie spent last summer in Istanbul, Turkey working for Helsinki Citizens Assembly, an organization that gives legal aid to refugees. She really enjoys this work and being abroad, so hopes to continue doing something similar after graduation in 2012.
Some of Stephanie’s favorite memories from choir were the tours that she took. They taught her to appreciate history and she enjoyed seeing a different part of the world. She feels privileged to have been able to travel abroad at a young age. She wouldn’t have had those opportunities without the choirs. Whenever she travels somewhere new and sees churches she is always reminded of St. Paul’s Cathedral. The choirs also gave Stephanie a wonderful appreciation of the Arts.
